The twins in this family were quite the spunky duo and so much fun. They both had matching band aids on their fingers and loved a little bit of goofing off. And boy, are their smiles just wonderful.

It was really fun photographing multiple families in one day, and especially since all the kids were great to work with. It gave me lots of opportunities to see what poses and prompts worked in a family setting. With each family being a little different it gave me a bit of variety in approaches that worked.
This third family was just so cute. The little girl was almost inseparable from one of the other little boys in the group. It was just a great bunch to photograph. The second family had two little boys. The littlest one was just the happiest baby, and the older one was a very sweet older brother. Here are the shots that I loved.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for several families who regularly get together for a play group. We did individual family shots as well and I got to take some candids while the kids played, which was just so much fun. Here is one of the wonderful families!
I have now lived in DC for one year! Happy Anniversary! After living in LA for three years DC was a welcome change, though apparently I have a thing for two letter cities. I was back to the change of seasons. Fall colors and sweaters and drinking warm drinks. My last night in LA was spent out with all my friends and my Mom who was helping me move. When someone brought up the fact that I would get to experience autumn again there was a collective sigh, and everyone started stating their favorite things about fall. We were all East Coast kids and Southern California weather was quite the change for us. And boy did I come back east for quite the winter. I loved every second of it, unlike most people. I am a true winter girl. DC actually got a bit of snow this winter which I completely enjoyed and, of course, photographed. I've loved living right downtown. Walking and metroing everywhere is such a refreshing change after being chained to a car in LA. I try to take advantage of this awesome city every chance I get.
As the seasons changed to summer I've done lots of traveling, (so many weddings) but I always looked forward to coming back to DC. On my last return here I finally felt like I was coming back to my home. And that is just a wonderful feeling. Here's to another wonderful year in DC! |
